Han Solo movie adds Avengers actor Paul Bettany

He’s set to return as the superhero in next summer’s Avengers: Infinity War. EW has confirmed the Avengers alum is poised to join the star-studded cast of the young Han Solo film. The British actor can currently be seen portraying Ted Kaczynski in Discovery’s Manhunt: Unabomber miniseries. No word on Bettany’s role, but a report from SlashFilm   claims he’s replacing Michael K. The untitled Han Solo film, which stars Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, and Emilia Clarke, will fly into theaters on May 25, 2018. Director Ron Howard, who took over deep in production for previous directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord, broke the news by sharing a picture of himself with Bettany, writing, “The Outer Rim just got a little bit wilder.” The actor retweeted Howard’s message and added, “It’s a dream come true.”
