Comedy about Trump supporters to premiere at Hamptons Film Festival

Writer-director Onur Tukel’s election night comedy The Misogynists will have its world premiere at this October’s Hamptons International Film Festival, it was announced Tuesday. 5-9. The film stars Dylan Baker (Happiness, Selma) as a lonely businessman who has recently separated from his wife of 35 years. Tukel’s previous films include the horror-comedy Summer of Blood and this year’s Catfight, which starred Sandra Oh, Anne Heche, and Alicia Silverstone. Now living on his own in a hotel room, he celebrates Donald Trump’s victory with his sad-sack protégé Baxter (Jamie Block), who is experiencing marital woes of his own. “Needless to say, after Trump got elected, something inside of me was   compelled to write this,” said Tukel, in a statement, “and   I’m fascinated by hypocrisy and the contradictions of living in a free society.
