Vin Diesel working on Miami Vice reboot for NBC

Miami Vice   originally aired for five seasons on NBC from 1984 to 1989. It starred Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas as two undercover detectives. Put on your Ray Bans and boat shoes:   Miami   Vice   may be coming back. Diesel has previously served as a producer on a number of films including multiple   Fast and the Furious   movies, the   xXx   series, and   Riddick. According to The Hollywood Reporter,   the actor is teaming up with his   Fast and the Furious   collaborator Chris Morgan; both will executive-produce alongside Ainsley Davis and   Wayward Pines’   Shana Waterman, while   The Mist‘s Peter Macmanus will write the script. In 2006, series executive producer Michael Mann wrote, directed, and produced a spin-off movie of the same name that featured Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell in the main roles.
