Kathy Griffin, Colton Haynes spoof ‘Annie’ in ‘Grannie’ mock trailer

That’s the gist of Kathy Griffin’s   new spoof   trailer for Grannie, a geriatric send-up of the beloved   musical about a spunky, streetwise   urchin. She’s   finally rescued   from the tyranny of Miss Hannigan (played by Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna) by   the   eccentric billionaire Daddy Warbucks (Colton Haynes of   Teen Wolf). That’s just easy.”
Watch the Grannie trailer above. Created by the comedy duo A Brit and A Yank (a.k.a. James Stapleton and Griffin’s assistant,   John Raphael), Grannie   also pays homage to such   Annie tunes as “Tomorrow,” “I Think I’m Gonna Like It Here,” and “It’s the Hard Knock Life.”

Speaking to   The Wrap   about the spoof, Griffin appraised   her vocals skills:   “I’m like when Meryl Streep, who is a really good singer, said she had to be bad for Florence Foster Jenkins,” she said. “I purposely had to sing like that for my character.
