Jamie Lynn Spears’ daughter recovers from near drowning

— Britney Spears (@britneyspears) February 6, 2017

Following the accident, Spears’ family asked friends and fans for support, with older sister Britney Spears tweeting: “Need all the wishes and prayers for my niece” on Monday. “With her father, mother and stepfather by her side, Maddie regained consciousness mid-day Tuesday, February 7,” the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Department tells PEOPLE in a statement provided by   a Spears family rep. That’s my most proud accomplishment out of anything and always will be.”

Show Full Article Within seconds the child’s mother, stepfather and other family members reached the pond, dove in and attempted to rescue the child to no avail,” the report said. “She’s got such a sweet little heart,” Spears told PEOPLE of her daughter last summer. Jamie Lynn Spears‘ daughter Maddie is on the mend. “The 8-year-old daughter of entertainer Jamie Lynn Spears was involved in an ATV accident at a family home Sunday in Kentwood, La. Spears announced she was pregnant with Maddie in 2007, at the age of 16. “The ATV and child were instantly submerged in the water right before their eyes. She and ex Casey Aldridge welcomed their daughter in June of 2008 before splitting in 2010. “I feel like I’ve raised her with a lot of honesty, but I’ve also raised her with a lot of love. “The child was trapped and secured by the seatbelt and the ATV’s safety netting. She’s a very happy, content little girl, and there’s nothing more a parent could ask for. Paramedics resuscitated her and she was airlifted to a local hospital. She is aware of her surroundings and recognizes those family members who have kept a round-the-clock vigil since the accident.”
The statement continues: “Doctors were able to remove the ventilator today and she is awake and talking. Following her baby news, the   former   Zooey 101   star left Hollywood to raise her daughter in her native Lousiana. This article originally appeared on PEOPLE.com. Maddie continues to receive oxygen and is being monitored closely but it appears that she has not suffered any neurological consequences from the accident.”
On Sunday,   Maddie was driving   an ATV within view of Spears and her husband   Jamie Watson   when she took a hard right   to avoid running over   a nearby   drainage ditch, causing the vehicle to “enter the pond” on her parents’ property, reads a police report obtained by PEOPLE Monday.

‘Jane the Virgin’ actor Brett Dier on the show’s shocking twist

No, I haven’t. I’m going to miss that Michael and Jane relationship because I thought it was a really beautifully written relationship… I also like the fun stuff with Rogelio. Show Full Article It was just tough to memorize the large amounts of dialogue like cracking the case. He felt like a big part of me. Following the episode,   actor Brett Dier tweeted a note thanking fans and the show’s cast and crew, while showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman posted a letter on Tumblr and talked to EW about the show’s big twist. I didn’t know how he was going to die except it was going to be from an artery thing. I play it often. Did you try and convince her not to kill him off? Not yet. Just taking for granted assuming that you’re going to live for that [long]. Just when   Jane the Virgin thought she was in for a happily ever after, the show dealt her a cruel plot twist as it left the young newlywed   a widow. Because that’s more of a season finale [type thing]… It was also a more graceful way, and it had a bigger meaning, because everything was going so well in their life and in their marriage, and that episode up to that point was so happy and then just all of a sudden, the worst thing happened. The night I shot Michaels death scene Brett left this video in my phone. Did you discuss how or where he might die? With some time having passed since the heartbreaking moment, EW spoke to Dier about having to say goodbye to Michael… and Jane. I remember I would have tears in my eyes in scenes where I wouldn’t have to have tears in my eyes because I was thinking of what was going to happen. It’s living in the moment and appreciating it as much as you possibly can. It made it more intense, but it was a cool move too to do it mid-season. It feels like it’s a very spiritual thing to go through for me. It was pretty sad. Yeah, I did. That whole episode for me was super emotional. So I’ve been keeping it quiet for three months, and   before   that for six months. But as the hour unfolded, the former detective experienced complications related to his season 2-ending gunshot wound, causing him to collapse and die at the testing center. I think just letting go of this character was enough for me. You never know when you say goodbye to someone that it’s the last time. That’s another thing I took away. I honestly didn’t. Reading that and going through filming that made me just really want to love the people in my life as much as I possibly could and never take them for granted. Stuff like that. And knowing he was going to die was such a weird thing. That’s why you have to love the people in your life as much as you possibly can, because you never know. It actually happens to one percent of gunshot victims that get shot in the lung and heart area, and it could be up to a year after, which is really scary. Don’t read the following unless you’ve watched this week’s episode of   Jane the Virgin, or else you’ll risk the wrath of Rogelio De La Vega. I liked the comedic moments that I got to do [and] the detective stuff was fun too. Yeah! ET on The CW. How did it feel knowing it was in the middle of the season as opposed to the start, which is where it felt like it was going to happen? The love he has for Jane. The amount of love he has for Jane, and how sincere he was in that relationship. Read EW’s postmortem with the EP here. What inspired you to do that? So you haven’t gotten a chance to shoot anything yet? But when she brought me in in Season 2, I was like, “They’re going to tell me I croaked.” It was a weird feeling. And it felt very real. She had to film that scene and I wasn’t going to be there on set, so she asked me if I could do something of some sort so I could help her get there. That’s what I took away from that actually. So I left that on there for her to watch when she was about to do the scene. I didn’t really need [it] because I was living him. So I left that [message] for her. Monday’s episode saw Jane’s husband Michael (Brett Dier) kiss his wife   goodbye and go take the LSAT. I had no clue. Is there anything you can tease about when we might see him next? But the action part was fun. I’m just kind of guessing, but I’m assuming that’s what it might be. It made it even more impactful   because it gave the audience hope again and then they took him away again. That’s   when I had my first clue. And it seems like you had to keep it a secret for a while. The episode that aired last night I shot three months ago. Did filming it help you say goodbye in a way? You know the scene on the phone when she found out on the phone and broke down crying? Like fantasy stuff and seeing me pop up in places when she looks at something that reminds her of Michael. #janethevirgin @brettdier
A video posted by Gina Rodriguez (@hereisgina) on Feb 6, 2017 at 10:20pm PST

I saw that you left Gina a message saying goodbye as Michael. I took that away too. Jane the Virgin airs Mondays at 9 p.m. I understood it. ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: When did you first find out that Michael was going to die this season after all? It was just really hard to film the scene of him dying. [Laughs] So nine months I’ve probably had to keep quiet. That was tough for me because there was a lot of exposition and terminology and names like Mutter and Sin Rostro, [and] you’d only have a day. BRETT DIER:   Jennie [Snyder Urman] brought me into her office at the end of Season 2 and told me. Because it felt like it made sense to me when she said it. I already had an idea what it was going to be because of the Season 1 spoiler from the narrator. RELATED: Hear more of the latest TV news from this week

Jennie Synder Urman teased that Michael might be back in flashbacks. I didn’t know how it was going to go. Because even though I was kind of prepared, reality sunk in and I was like, “S—.” I loved playing Michael so much. Spoiler alert! I think it’s just going to be in Jane’s mind. You are missed Michael. [Laughs]
What was it like shooting those flash-forward scenes of Jane and Michael’s future in the first episode of this season, knowing those two characters wouldn’t get there? He told me it was ok to share it. I get it, and I get that it’s the journey that has to happen for the characters. That was a really weird day for me. What do you think you’ll miss most about playing Michael? She didn’t need it because she’s a pro, but I’m glad it helped her in some way.

Rosie O’Donnell is willing to spoof Stephen Bannon on ‘SNL’: ‘If called I will serve’

She called McCarthy’s take on Spicer “perfect” and   also praised Alec Baldwin’s portrayal of the president, which has repeatedly prompted Trump to lash out against the actor and the series. O’Donnell’s feud with the president sparked circa 2006. Bannon, the controversial former editor of the far-right-leaning Breibart News, has been played in “SNL” skits by a Grim Reaper-clad Mikey Day. “[S]omeone tweeted it as an idea – after Melissa was so brilliant … The former co-host of “The View,” who is already an outspoken critic of the president and has publicly quibbled with him in the   past, says she would be willing to parody his chief strategist, Stephen Bannon ,   on “SNL.” “If asked, of course I would,” O’Donnell told NBC News on Tuesday. He dubbed O’Donnell a “pig” and continued to tweet about her appearance and personal life. She also tweeted “available   – if called i will serve.” The casting, however, is not a done deal, and O’Donnell   is not currently set to appear on or host the long-running NBC sketch series. “‘SNL’ knows what they are doing,” said O’Donnell, who   hosted the show in 1993 and 1996, spoofing actress Liza Minnelli, director Penny Marshall and manicurist-turned-mutilator Lorena Bobbitt. The network has declined to comment about casting her on the show, and O’Donnell even deemed it “an alternate fact.” O’Donnell’s announcement comes on the heels of Melissa McCarthy’s aggressive portrayal of Trump’s press secretary, Sean Spicer, over the weekend and after calls for O’Donnell’s   casting went viral on Twitter on Monday. Trump went after her again in 2014 when NBC reinstated her as a “View” panelist and   she became an unlikely   topic of discussion after the August 2015 and September 2016 presidential debates, when he declared that O’Donnell was the only woman he publicly insulted. (Monica Schipper / Getty Images) Rosie O’Donnell has volunteered her services for “Saturday Night Live’s” comedy takedown of   President Trump and his   administration. Bannon’s relationship with Trump was lampooned in the latest episode’s cold open as he encouraged the Donald to alienate allied nations in a series of impromptu phone calls. when she criticized the billionaire   for refusing to fire   Miss USA   Tara Conner   from the pageant he controls after she admitted to substance abuse. just a funny idea #truth,” O’Donnell tweeted Tuesday. ‘This Is Us’ creator teases cracks in Jack and Rebecca’s marriage that will ‘scare people’

“There’s a distance in the marriage and in this amazing couple who we’ve gotten to love so much,” Fogelman tells EW. “We’ve seen a little bump in the road in our second episode, but for the most part, they’ve been rock-solid. “We relive a couple of old patterns with Kate and Toby — not necessarily our best patterns — as Duke (Adam Bartley) continues looming in the background,” says Fogelman. “Ben is not heavily in this episode, but he is heavily in the ones to come,” notes   Fogelman. “But it’s beautiful.”
